SSL was established in 2004 as a manufacturers' representative specializing in power distribution products with particular focus on design, engineering, specification, and application. With 10 years of experience at Siemens Energy & Automation and 2 different electrical distributors in the NYC market, Steve Mowery returned to his hometown of Lancaster, PA to start a business from the ground up. Having no previous experience in the Pennsylvania market, SSL first began its business model by offering services, retrofit products, field site surveys, system studies, and a handful of distribution products including several sub-represented lines to our existing NY/NJ customer base while growing our relationships with distributors, contractors, agencies, consultants, and end users in the PA/DE market. With hard work, diligence, attention to detail, and most importantly a dedication to customer service and response, SSL began to capture market share and thereby offer great value to quality manufacturers looking for representation in our markets.

From a 345KV incoming dead-end structure to a 208V UL1558 customer switchgear lineup and all points in between, it has always been our commitment to add value to every phase of the project including the system studies and field start-up. With recent personnel additions including market vice presidents, insides sales staff, project managers, and engineering, we continue to position ourselves to support our growing markets and customer base over many years to come.
